This show seemed to have the potential to fail miserably, as one of the bands that was supposed to play called after the show started to announce that they wouldn't be making it, and another band almost cancelled at the last minute as well. Bend locals Hydroponic (who sadly recently announced that they're breaking up) started the evening off. They decided to play this one acoustic style, and I for one thought it was a great change of pace. It's not often that we see some great acoustic stuff in Bend. Countdown To Life was the next band in the queue. These guys recently got signed to State Of Grace, and it's easy to see why after their performance tonight. Blistering hardcore was the tune of the day, and I think they put on the best performance of the evening. They'll be returning to Bend on the 11th of June with Himsa, so be sure to head back to the Bend Community Center to check them out. No Thanks To You was the headliner this evening, and while they put on a great set I was still more impressed with the middle band. No Thanks To You is another great Portland area hardcore band that's well worth checking out. It turned out to be another fun show at the BCC, a trend that I hope will only continue as time goes by.
